Apartment Details
Two of the apartments are large adjoining one-bedroom units with terrazzo floors, beautifully situated on the fifth floor, that comfortably sleeps four adults (there is a convertible couch in the living room). (The apartments may be combined into a three bedroom two bathroom suite.) The spacious bedrooms have queen sized matrimonial beds with night tables, double closets, dresser, writing desk & chair, and a separate bench for suitcases. The red marble bathrooms have an oversize bathtub with shower, toilet, bidet, and a washing machine for your clothes (with a rack for drying them).
The third and most luxurious apartment is a large two-bedroom two bathroom unit with parquet floors and high wooden beam ceilings that comfortably sleeps six adults (again, there is a convertible couch in the living room). The two bathrooms (one green marble, one red marble) each have an oversize bathtub with shower, toilet and bidet; the master bathroom has two large pedestal sinks and a washing machine for your clothes (with a rack for drying them).
Features and Services
Each apartment has central air conditioning and heat that you may directly control through a thermostat in the living room.
Cooking is a nice way to save money when traveling with a large family, and we try to make it as easy as possible. Our kitchens are fully equipped, including all pots, pans, silverware, glasses and dishes that you could possibly need. All this and a dishwasher to clean up with after your meals. We have also provided color TVs and stereos with CD players in all units, as well as irons and ironing boards. Each apartment is also provided with its own mobile phone.
Finally, when renting a private home in Venice, always be careful to ask if there is an elevator. The great majority of Venetian buildings have no elevator because the Landmarks Ministry (the "Belle Arte") forbids their installation in antique buildings. As a result, bringing a family with luggage up several flights of stairs can present quite a problem. This has been solved in our building by the installation of two fully automatic elevators for your convenience.
Each apartment is sunny and bright, and has a different, stunning water or mountain views. All three apartments are non-smoking, and family owned and operated. In short, we have remodeled and furnished these apartments to our own high standards because I am a mother and my kids spend about three months a year occupying them.
